What It Does
Genuine functionality, delivered without fanfare. EnvyStalk tracks the numbers so you don't have to refresh your brokerage account every seventeen minutes.
Works with any publicly traded employer. We make no claims about which one you should be at.
Auto-refreshing during market hours, and for a period afterwards, when the damage has already been done.
Enter a grant date and dollar amount; shares calculated from the 30-day average closing price. Default 16-quarter schedule, or configure monthly, quarterly, or annual with a custom vest percentage. The math is real.
Multiple transactions, configurable discount percentage (default 15%). Whether that discount is a perk or a trap depends on earnings calls we are not party to.
Directly purchased or transferred shares with optional cost basis. For the diversified, the windfall-adjacent, and the "I don't remember how I got these."
Total current value, gain/loss against cost basis, and upcoming vests. A dashboard. Numbers. Some of them moving.
Optional sync across your Apple devices via iCloud. Opt-in. Your data stays in your iCloud, not ours. We do not have an iCloud. We do not have a server. We have a domain name and resolve.
Widgets across all platforms: macOS desktop (small & medium), iOS home screen (small & medium), watchOS complications (rectangular, circular, inline). The number, rendered in several shapes.
Where It Runs
EnvyStalk is a personal financial awareness utility. It is not a financial advisor, a broker, a fiduciary, or a friend who works in finance and picks up the phone. Portfolio values are informational and subject to market conditions, which are, famously, conditions. Past vestment performance does not guarantee future vestment performance, stock price direction, or that any of this was a good idea. Consult a qualified professional. Or at minimum, sleep on it.
Getting Started
Setup is straightforward. The app will not configure itself, but it will tell you where everything is.
Tap the gear icon. It is the gear. The universal symbol of something you will adjust once and never revisit.
Enter your employer's stock ticker. One ticker. We mean it. This is the constraint.
Default is 15%. Adjust if your plan differs. Consult your offer letter, not us.
Default 16-quarter. Or monthly, quarterly, or annual with a configurable vest percentage. All schedules lead to the same number eventually.
Shares your configuration across your Apple devices via iCloud. Does not share it with us. We remain uninformed.
Label, grant date, dollar amount. Tap "Calculate Shares & Schedule" to fetch the 30-day average closing price and generate the full vest schedule. The tap does real work.
Purchase date, subscription price, shares. Repeat for each purchase period.
Label, share count, and an optional cost per share for anything that doesn't fit the above categories.
Your Data
The irony of a stock-compensation tracking app with better privacy practices than most social networks is not lost on us.

Feature requests are accepted. They will be read. Action is not guaranteed. The probable outcome is: acknowledged, filed under consideration, revisited during a future sprint that may or may not be scheduled. Probably not. But we'll see.
